Live session | Ludwig Museum Budapest | 2020
2019
„Mïus will perform a song from their new album Étude de Battements, connecting the members online in an audio-visual composition created together with Andrea Sztojánovits.
Among many other events, the launch party of the recently released mïus album has also been cancelled due to the closure of public spaces, suspending ten months of creative work by ten people. The band, like many other groups, switched to a slow, winter-like modus vivendi.
“Mïus has never been a band busy giving concerts, we only put on a few every year. This isn’t a conscious decision, but it is close to the attitude of slow movements. Instead of a constant presence, we chose a slower way of making music, which doesn’t mean that we aim to slow down the rhythms, we just want to leave enough time for the creative process and experiencing it.” Gergely Álmos
Adapting to the new situation, band members will be contributing to the performance separately but in a joint composition from London and Budapest, to compensate the audience for the unplayed sounds and the unlit lights.
Our Saturday online concert is inspired by the yet virtual exhibition Slow Life. Radical Practices of the Everyday.“
